Jane spent many years working with Electronic Arts, at the time the world’s largest and most successful video games company in the post of Senior Producer / Executive In Charge of Production.
Due to internal restructuring at MGM, ahead of sale to Sony, MGM IP was handed to Electronic Arts to develop. This led to Jane leaving MGM and joining Electronic Arts. Initially Jane was posted to Bullfrog, the world’s leading strategy games studio and UK subsidiary of Electronic Arts, in the wake of studio founder Peter Molyneux leaving for other ventures. During the tenure at Bullfrog, Jane led “Indestructibles” a key superhero franchise for Electronic Arts, based on an initial idea by Peter Molyneux. A team was formed of some of the world’s finest developers to create a whole new gaming experience, pushing videogame AI and 3D technology to the limits for the PC based gaming platform. Jane also was heavily involved in other Bullfrog internal IP, such as Theme Park and Populous as Executive in Charge Of Production.
After a spell at Bullfrog, Jane returned to the Electronic Arts parent group in the USA, becoming involved in a wide array of franchises, including working alongside Richard Garriott, regarded as one of the fathers of the games industry. Franchises included such stalwarts as The Sims and Jane’s Flightsim group.
In addition to leading production, Jane also had a period responsible for third party acquisition of both studios and new content for Electronic Arts. This involved identifying major IP and studios which when brought under the EA umbrella would drive the overall strategy of the business.
