Jane was invited to be a senior advisor to Microsoft and offered advice to Microsoft board members on a range of gaming and technology issues, from Xbox to simulation, to commercial strategy.

At this time, Jane also became involved in Microsoft Flight Simulator, an evergreen major franchise for Microsoft. Jane was asked to develop the first official content for Microsoft Flight Simulator X for the Steam platform, through official licensee Dovetail Games. These first four official expansion packs were well received by both the press and community and continue to be popular products for the simulation.

Jane also advised numerous Microsoft affiliates on projects in relation to Microsoft Flight Simulator and other franchises. This work on Microsoft Flight Simulator led Jane to be referred to in the press as “aviation royalty”, leading to Jane’s involvement in a range of aviation related projects and advisory roles.
