Having earnt a reputation for working on movie led games and publishing them, Jane was invited to take up the post of Director of Development at Metro Goldwyn Mayer. This involved leading the interactive division of Metro Goldwyn Mayer – United Artists. Jane had full creative, technical and commercial daily control of the division and the worldwide staff engaged in video games, CGI and computer based technology.

A large part of the focus was to maximize the potential of MGM’s intellectual property in the videogames arena, leading to the release of a number of James Bond titles. This included Jane having management control over Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64, which went on to become the third top selling title for that system. A game that is still regarded as iconic to this day.

At MGM, Jane graduated from being a video games developer to expanding his skillset in to becoming a publisher and commercial executive in the videogames industry, becoming equally at home in the boardroom as developing projects on the keyboard. This is a trait that Jane continues to this day, operating at the highest levels of publishing, whilst still personally developing projects.
